Once your computer is dead, it's pretty much dead - and once you buy a new one you'll probably never touch that old computer ever again. If you're like me I'm sure it will sit in your place for the next 10 years gathering dust "in case you ever need to get a file off of it". Now's your chance to chuck it, and keep the data. Not only that but you can even use the (most likely) perfectly functional hard drive as a backup or extra storage! Pop open your laptop or desktop and make the most of your outdated machine (a quick google search on your computer model # etc and you should be able to find a detailed guide).
